Mohamad Mikati Appointed as Vice President Growth & Development at Wood

Mohamad Mikati has been appointed as Vice President Growth & Development at Wood, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

In this leadership role, Mohamad will spearhead strategic growth initiatives, business expansion, and development opportunities across key markets. Prior to joining Wood, he served at Technip Energies as Regional Head of Commercial for Carbon Free Solutions and Advisory/PMC – Middle East, where he led commercial strategy and market positioning for decarbonization and sustainable energy projects. Earlier, he held the role of Commercial Director within Technip Energies and previously at TechnipFMC in Saudi Arabia, driving high-value commercial negotiations and contract management across complex energy portfolios.

Mohamad’s foundation was built during his 12 year tenure at Technip, where he progressed through key roles including Business Development & Sales, Proposals Engineer, and Procurement Proposals Coordinator. Throughout this period, he led proposal strategy, coordinated cross-functional procurement activities, and contributed to major project wins across the region, strengthening his expertise in commercial leadership and strategic growth within the energy sector.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from American University of Beirut, equipping him with a strong technical foundation that complements his commercial and executive leadership capabilities
