Haitham Habashi has been appointed as Head of Middle East, Turkey & Africa at Merck Healthcare, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished global leadership journey within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.

Haitham brings over 13 years of progressive leadership experience across Merck Group, having held multiple senior executive roles including Managing Director for Russia/CIS, Managing Director for Egypt, and General Manager for Saudi Arabia. His career reflects a consistent track record of driving regional business expansion, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering strategic growth across oncology, neurology, endocrinology, and broader healthcare portfolios. From business unit leadership to country management and franchise direction, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening Merck’s presence across multiple international markets and delivering impactful healthcare solutions.

He holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceuticals from October 6 University.
