Abdulaziz Alfares Promoted to Director, Financial planning and budgeting at stc

Abdulaziz Alfares, SOCPA has been promoted to Director, Financial Planning and Budgeting at stc, marking a significant achievement in his distinguished career in financial planning, budgeting, and group financial reporting.

Throughout his professional journey, Abdulaziz has built extensive expertise in financial management, consolidation, and performance analysis across some of Saudi Arabia’s leading organizations. Since joining stc in 2021, he has steadily progressed through key leadership roles, including Section Manager of Subsidiaries Reporting Consolidation and Section Manager of Consolidated Financial Statements, where he led the consolidation of financial results across group entities, ensured compliance with IFRS standards, strengthened financial controls, and drove reporting excellence. In his new role as Director, Financial Planning and Budgeting, he is responsible for leading annual budgeting processes, long-term financial planning initiatives, performance evaluation, business case reviews, and strategic financial decision-making aligned with the organization’s growth objectives. Prior to stc, he served as a Consolidation Analyst at SABIC, where he played a key role in group financial reporting, controllership, and consolidated financial statement analysis, following an earlier internship in budgeting and planning.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from King Saud University and is a SOCPA-certified finance professional, bringing strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, controllership, group consolidation, and corporate financial performance management.
