Badr Aljohani Promoted to Chief Sustainability & CSR Officer at alinma

Badr Aljohani has reached another significant milestone in his distinguished career with his promotion to Chief Sustainability & CSR Officer at alinma.

With more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning banking, petrochemicals, mining, and utilities, Badr has established himself as one of the region’s leading sustainability professionals. During his tenure at alinma, he played a pivotal role in transforming the bank’s sustainability agenda, elevating its ESG performance and leading initiatives that strengthened sustainable finance, net-zero strategies, environmental stewardship, and corporate governance.

Prior to this promotion, Badr served as General Manager, Sustainability, where his leadership contributed to alinma achieving one of the highest ESG ratings among Saudi banks. His impressive career also includes key leadership positions at Saudi Industrial Development Fund – SIDF, Sadara Chemical Company, Maaden, and SABIC, where he successfully developed sustainability frameworks, carbon reduction strategies, and award-winning ESG programs.

As the Founder of the Saudi Sustainability Club, Chairman of the Corporate Sustainability Association, and a recognized speaker and certified coach, Badr continues to shape the future of sustainability across Saudi Arabia and beyond.
