Abdulaziz Alotaibi Promoted to Vice Dean for Development and Quality at Islamic University of Madinah

Abdulaziz Alotaibi, Ph.D., PE., has been promoted to Vice Dean for Development and Quality at the Islamic University of Madinah, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished academic and professional journey in civil engineering and construction management.

With extensive experience spanning academia, research, and industry, he has consistently contributed to advancing construction engineering, project management, and digital transformation practices. His leadership roles within the university, including Head of Initiatives Management and Strategic Reporting and Head of Collaboration and Vocational Training, reflect his strong commitment to institutional development, quality enhancement, and strategic excellence.


Alongside his academic leadership, Dr. Alotaibi brings valuable international exposure from Oregon State University and hands-on consulting experience in major infrastructure projects, including the Grand Mosque expansion project in Makkah. His work reflects a strong integration of research-driven insight and real-world engineering expertise.

In his new role as Vice Dean, he will continue to drive development initiatives, strengthen quality frameworks, and contribute to the university’s strategic vision for academic and operational excellence.
