With over 18 years of leadership experience, Faisal Al Faqeer has established himself as a highly influential figure in the downstream and petrochemical industry. Prior to this appointment, he served as Senior Vice President at Aramco, where he played a key role in driving operational excellence and strategic growth initiatives. His career is further distinguished by extensive board-level and governance experience across major entities, including SABIC, SAMREF Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Ltd., Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) Ltd., and ARLANXEO. He has held multiple high-impact roles such as Chairman of the Board, Board Member, and Chairman of key committees including Risk, Sustainability & EHS, Talent & Compensation, and Shareholders’ Committee. Known for leading mega-scale operations exceeding USD 1B and managing large teams of over 4,000 employees, he has consistently driven value creation, operational transformation, and sustainable growth. His recognition as one of the Most Influential Downstream Industry Figures in the Middle East further reflects his industry impact and leadership stature.

He holds a PhD and MS in Materials Science & Engineering from Penn State University, underpinning his strong technical and strategic foundation.
