Ghaith Alghamdi has been appointed as Principal at SOSV, marking a significant advancement in his career within venture capital and technology investing. In this role, he will play a key part in identifying high-potential startups, driving investment strategies, and supporting innovation across global markets.

With a strong foundation in private equity and venture investments, Ghaith brings extensive experience from his tenure at Aramco Ventures, where he progressed from Investment Associate to Investment Manager. During this time, he contributed to deploying capital across transformative technologies, new energy solutions, and disruptive business models within a multi-billion-dollar investment platform.

Beyond his core investment role, Ghaith actively contributes to the startup ecosystem through strategic board engagements. He currently serves as a Board Member at Andium and as a Board Observer at NexWafe, where he supports governance, growth strategy, and innovation in cutting-edge technology sectors. Earlier in his career, he also served as Chief Financial Officer at netzero, a climate-tech startup focused on sustainability and environmental impact.

Ghaith holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the The University of Texas at Austin, with concentrations in Energy & Technology and Process Systems Engineering. He further enhanced his leadership and governance expertise through the Directors’ Consortium program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
