Valia Chami Appointed as Head of News and Special Projects at Arab News

Valia Chami has taken on the role of Head of News and Special Projects at Arab News, leading strategic editorial initiatives and driving newsroom innovation with a focus on AI-powered solutions.

With extensive experience in media leadership, Valia has transformed newsrooms and digital strategies, previously serving as Senior Executive Producer at PwC Middle East Broadcasting Networks, where she aligned editorial coverage with key developments and integrated digital-first workflows to maximize audience engagement.

In addition to her professional achievements, Valia is shaping the next generation of media leaders as an Adjunct Lecturer at Murdoch University Dubai and Adjunct Professor at American University in Dubai, mentoring students in digital storytelling and broadcast journalism.

Valia holds a Professional Master’s in Corporate and Institutional Communication from CELSA Paris-Sorbonne and a DEA with distinction from EHESS – Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, combining academic excellence with practical media leadership.
