Hector Echeto Appointed as Director of Advanced Drilling Technologies at NESR

Hector Echeto has been appointed as Director of Advanced Drilling Technologies at NESR, where he now leads the company’s global drilling technology portfolio with full P&L responsibility.

With over two decades of leadership experience across MENA, the Caspian region, North America, and Europe, Hector is recognized for driving large scale growth, operational excellence, and market expansion. Prior to joining NESR, he spent nearly 20 years at SLB, most recently serving as Vice President Sales and Commercial for Well Construction across the Middle East and North Africa. In this role, he led a multi billion dollar portfolio across 15 countries, restructured regional sales organizations, accelerated digital transformation, and achieved record market share and profitability.

Earlier, Hector served as Regional General Manager for Well Construction in the Caspian region, where he revitalized underperforming operations, doubled revenues and margins, and led major restructuring and digital initiatives. His career also includes senior leadership roles in Qatar, where he built high performing teams, won every strategic tender, and received the SLB CEO Award for exceptional performance and customer outcomes. In parallel, he has served as Board Member for multiple joint ventures, strengthening governance and long term value creation.

Hector holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from UNEFA and has completed executive programs in Sustainability and Digital Business at UC Berkeley, bringing a strong technical and strategic foundation to his leadership approach.
