Fawaz AlMutawaa Appointed as AVP – Private Equity at Kamco Invest
Fawaz AlMutawaa has been appointed as Assistant Vice President – Private Equity at Kamco Invest, marking a notable advancement in his investment leadership journey. With a strong focus on private equity and fund management, Fawaz continues to build momentum in identifying, evaluating, and supporting high-growth companies across the region.
Prior to joining Kamco Invest, Fawaz played a key role at Merak Capital, where he served as Investment Associate and Secretary to the Investment Committee. He led end-to-end execution of early-stage investments — from sourcing opportunities and conducting due diligence to preparing IC memos and driving transaction closings — while contributing to fund strategy and ecosystem development across MENA. His experience also includes over three years at EY-Parthenon in Strategy and Transactions, advising sovereign wealth funds and financial institutions on fund strategy, portfolio valuation, M&A, and market entry across private credit, venture capital, and traditional sectors. This combination of advisory and principal-side experience positions him with both strategic depth and execution capability.
Fawaz AlMutawaa holds a BSc in Finance and Investment Banking from the University of Reading (First Class Honours – 1:1) and completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) at Bahrain Bayan School. His academic excellence, combined with hands-on transaction exposure and governance experience, reflects a disciplined and forward-looking private equity professional poised for continued impact.
